Men’s Health Symposium – 19th November

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, are delighted to invite you to a Men’s Health Symposium focusing on current issues that affect men’s health across their lifespan. The Symposium will specifically examine the influence masculinity has on men’s health, building resilience and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, featuring a wide range of experts, practitioners, researchers and men’s health advocates from across Ireland.

 

The Men’s Health Symposium is being held on International Men’s Day, and is a free to attend event aimed at health professionals, allied professional’s, educators, researchers and practitioners who have an interest in men’s health and well-being. The symposium offers attendees the opportunity to discuss, debate and seek solutions to current issues influencing men’s wellbeing across generations, and coincides with the ‘Movember movement’ in promoting conversations and dialogue about men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, social isolation and personal stories.
