Engage – National Men’s Health Training
22 May @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
The HSE are pleased to offer Engage workshops to front line practitioners. These sessions are delivered by qualified Engage Trainers, and seek to expand the quality and quantity of local work in the area of men’s health and wellbeing.
Each workshop focuses upon:
– The determinants of men’s health, including how gender influences men’s approach to looking after their own health.
– The importance of the practitioners’ value base when working with men.
– Best practice guidelines when engaging men.
– Barriers and prompts experienced by men when accessing health and social services.
Who Should Attend?
This Workshop will be of interest to a broad range of service providers and practitioners who wish to connect in more meaningful ways with men and boys. Applications are welcomed from both men and women, and from people working in all sectors.
